Joe Cooper

Joe was in born Detroit, MI.  He is one of those people who’s drawn for as long as he could hold a pencil.  As a result, he suffers from a grotesque callous on his right middle finger.  The saddest of the 3 remaining fingers exist on his gnarled drawing paw.

Joe cut his chops in the early 90’s working under the steady guidance of native Detroiter and comic pro, Arvell Jones.  Shortly thereafter, he met Gary Carlson, publisher of Big Bang Comics.  Joe penciled stories for 4 different issues of the retro comic mag in the early Image days. Joe moved to New York City to attend the School of Visual Arts, and while there, got his first taste of working for the “Big 2” when he penciled the now infamous Baby’s First Deadpool Book for Marvel Comics.  Joe received his BFA with honors in 2000. Erik Jones

Erik Jones attended Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida where he majored in illustration. It was here where he developed a passion for...

Okay, let's be honest. Erik is a loud and obnoxious jackass who enjoys drinking and drawing, but mostly drinking. You can normally find him in his studio slaving all day and night on a piece that in a strange way resembles your girlfriend or wife, most likely because it is your girlfriend or wife. This bastard's got over 20 gigs of photos of every female in your family on his computer which he uses to create this porn-like “art” that he so innocently calls “fashion pin-up”. I guess the only thing nice you can say about this schmuck is that he knows what he’s doing and will get the job done. So if you want an amazing painting and a hangover meet up with this guy, or don’t... whatever, I'm sick of typing

Kevin Mellon

A self proclaimed "fat man with a Mohawk, careening wildly into his 30's", Kevin Mellon is a graduate of the Joe Kubert School of Cartooning and Graphic Art. His first work, GearHead, debuted in January 2007 to critical acclaim. GearHead has recently been optioned by Darius Films with plans of making way to the silver screen.  Kevin recently wrapped up work on a short story for Ape Entertainment’s popular Teddy Scares series.  Kevin is currently working on 13 Steps (with writer, Phil Hester) as well as Sabre.  13 Steps debuted in August 2007 from Desperado Publishing.

Mike Norton

Mike Norton has been working in comics for 10 years now, gaining recognition for projects such as The Waiting Place and Jason and the Argobots. Eventually, he became Art DIrector for the newly starting Devil's Due Publishing where he drew the first Voltron mini-series. He has since made a name for himself working on books like Queen and Country, Gravity, Runaways, All-New Atom, and Countdown.

He is also very, very tall.

Tim Seeley

Tim Seeley is the writer and creator of Hack/Slash, and a professional comic book illustrator. He hails from a small town in the middle of Wisconsin, where he spent too much time drawing the adventures of angsty superheroes and their scantily clad female sidekicks. He began his art career as a children’s book illustrator, and eventually found himself drawing 3 3/4” men in the G.I. Joe comic. He spends his time watching slasher movies and sitting in the bathtub formulating amazing ideas for new comic books. He lives in Chicago, Illinois, where he keeps his heart and his Troma movie collection. He currently illustrates HALLOWEEN for DDP, and writes LOADED BIBLE for IMAGE.

Ryan Stegman

Ryan Stegman was born in a drafty stable near Detroit. Ryan picked up crayons and drew on a wall; he was 18 years old. Shortly thereafter, he learned about pencils and paper. He was happy, as were his parents. After being "released" he decided that drawing comics was a good idea. He got all of his horrible drawings out of the way (well, most of them) and then got hired to do "Midnight Kiss" and covers for Markosia. He then found himself at Marvel working as the penciler and inker for the series "Magician Apprentice".  Ryan has also worked on a series of sketch cards for Dynamite’s Red Sonja.  Due to the restraints of a bulky ankle bracelet and poor hygiene, he is forced to stay indoors and draw.

Jeff Zornow
Jeff Zornow possesses a maniacally twitching death nerve inside his brain. As a result, he suffers from horrific seizures which fuel his uncanny artistic talents. When he awakens from these debilitating attacks, he maintains his grip on reality through creating art for T-shirt companies (such as Fright-Rags and The House of Mysterious Secrets), film projects, and obviously comics. He has been stricken with this terminal case of twisted genius since 1999. His comic projects include "Gene Simmons' House of Horrors", "Vampirella Magazine", "Agnes Quill: An Anthology of Mystery". Most notably, he created and illustrated the acclaimed "Long Night of the Full Moon". He regularly showcases his deviously creative urges in the pages of Cryptic Magazine. He is also comic-book-biographer to the mad scientist Dr. Gore. Zornow has also supplied art for many underground bands and record labels including Fondlecorpse, Gruesome Stuff Relish, Blood Freak, Razorback Records, Profanatica, Calabrese, and Ex Dementia.
